EHS Manager
This global organization is a leader in their industry and committed to sustainability. They are looking for an EHS Manager to join their company in Cincinnati, OH.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional environmental, health, and safety leadership and assistance to the facility in Cincinnati, OH. The EHS Manager will perform these daily duties at the Cincinnati production site.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and active participation in safety processes such as process hazard assessment and process design, while striving to continuously improve the EHS culture. Engage the entire employee population to energize the effort to improve performance
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements with the company’s EHS policies
- Serve as site liaison with local, state, and other emergency response and regulatory agencies
- Maintain permits, reports, pollution prevention plans, and other environmental requirements are complete, current, and properly implemented in the operations and that reports are submitted in a timely manner. The environmental scope for the group includes all media – air, water, and solid/liquid waste
- Provide technical/professional support regarding applicable EHS regulations and issues
- Provide the leadership to develop and implement programs, plans and procedures to meet or exceed safety performance goals
- Ensure EHS record keeping system provides timely reporting both internally and to external agencies
- Maintain a proactive approach to regulatory permits to avoid repercussions to the business and capture any opportunities afforded by the law. Assist with / oversee reporting such as: Title V, PSM, OSHA, RMP, SARA 313, Tier I and RCRA programs is needed
- Ensure that all incidents are promptly and properly reported, investigated, communicated and corrective / preventive action items are completed within the agreed time frame
- Develop and implement programs to achieve zero RQ release and zero OSHA citations
- Track EHS training completion and work with the facility management teams to ensure that all training is completed as required by applicable regulations and company policies. Conduct employee training. Facilitate and coordinate safety committee activities
- Handle daily inspections and verifications for wastewater; waste disposal, and other regulated processes

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental, Occupational Safety & Health Major, or experience as an EHS professional
- 3-15 years’ experience in an EHS role at a chemical production site
- Familiar with environmental, health, safety, and process safety regulations
- Goal-oriented individual with well-developed communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Must be able to interact with regulatory representatives and outside parties in a professional manner. Experience with EHS related authorities is a plus
