Job Description
My client a multi billion dollar global electro-mechanical manufacturing company is seeking a Global Category Manager. This position can be located in Downers Grove, IL or Troy, MI.
Global Category Manager – Reporting to the Sr. Global Category Lead, this position will be responsible for managing a $250M global spend of resins.
- Develop global strategies for assigned categories
- Lead initiatives for improvement and change.
- Define category procurement strategies
- Drive Total Cost of Ownership
- Source new vendors and maintain relationships

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years in a strategic sourcing role with a manufacturing company
- Experience working globally
