Job Description

Protein Chemist

The duties and responsibilities of the Protein Chemist will include:

  • Serve as internal protein chemistry expert support product and process development
  • Develop new products derived from vegetable protein raw materials supporting company protein strategy
  • Develop cost effective and clean process supporting company protein strategy
  • Create new technical and business opportunities by collaborating with internal and external scientists and labs
  • Build up technical know-how and protect them with patents
  • Contribute to a highly scientific, market focus, and collaborate R&D organization
  • Contribute to a safe and environmentally friendly workplace

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product and process development of vegetable protein
  • Demonstrated expertise in protein chemistry and/or protein extraction process based on experience and broad scientific & technological watch
  • Demonstrated capability in project generation, coordination and execution, as well as knowledge in intellectual property
