Job Description
Sr. Technical Service Scientist
The duties and responsibilities of the Sr. Technical Service Scientist will include:
- 60%: Provide Technical Support for Internal and External Customer Needs
- 40%: Evaluate Buy-Out & Private Label Products
Additional Responsibilities:
- Industry presence
- Grow toward an Outward Facing Voice and Technical Representative representing the company
- Provide Participation and Leadership in Technical Associations such as ASTM, ICRI, ACI, AASHOTO and others
- Travel with Sales Leaders to supply customer support to resolve complex issues
- Cross Functional Support
- Provide ideas and advice to other scientists and lab members as requested

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree, or higher, in a Scientific Field
- Required Minimum of 10 years of experience working for a leading manufacturer in the construction chemical industry (waterproofing, air-barriers, sealants, cementitious and polymer-based restoration products, cure and sealing compounds, expansion joints etc.). Required Minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting sales, marketing and customer needs to foster revenue growth and decrease liability exposure
- Testing skills to ASTM, ACI, CRD & AASHOTO protocol – Required
- Formulation Skills to aid in modifying products to meet company needs – Required
- Processing Familiarity
- Computer program utilization
- Capable of Root Cause Analysis
- Quality Minded & Accurate
