Title: Senior Media Project Manager

Location: St Paul, MN (hybrid 2 days in office on T &W)

Pay: $80,000-$90,000

SENIOR MEDIA PROJECT MANAGER

The Role: The Senior Media Project Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and seamlessly executing our clients' campaigns. This role has the day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and effective running of their projects with a focus on great delivery. To do this, you must have great skills in effective project leadership and an understanding of project initiation, budget control, project tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support developing and optimizing project management practice along with Operations SVP.
  • Drives and influences the project process from initial briefing through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and deliverable schedules.
  • Manage and deliver multiple work streams for various digital projects across the agency to agreed scope, timing, budget and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project objectives align with client and company goals.
  • Work with internal teams to help define project scope, resource requirements and cost estimates for projects.
  • Be on top of the projects and know the status of timing, key milestones, budget, deliverables, resources, etc. at all times. Not afraid to hunt down a deadline.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, and change requests.
  • Develop project budgets and resource plans in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Monitor project expenses and resource allocation against estimates and forecast to ensure adherence to budget and proactively escalate and mitigate issues and/or overages before they are incurred.
  • Helps manage project deliverables and generate Change Orders for out of scope work.
  • Co-leads developing proposals, budgets, and reconciliations for all project activity on assigned accounts.
  • Co-creates proposals, statements of work, budgets and associated research to help secure business opportunities.
  • Be the hub of communication for the project – in regular contact with internal and external partners.
  • Uses fair judgment to speak up and push back when scope creep or suggested budgets or timelines are not realistic while also understanding potential constraints of the client.
  • Ensures smooth transition of the creative/strategic process to the production process.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Supports client relationships that encourage mutual respect and trust.
  • You serve as the leader on client projects and thus must demonstrate an ability to organize workload and workflow.
  • You partner closely with internal teams across all disciplines to provide perspective and recommendations to clients.
  • You fully and independently own your responsibilities and deliverables.
  • You help gather information and clear obstacles in order to deliver great work.

Job Requirements

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of agency experience, media-specific experience a must
  • Proven ability to work across multiple brands, clients or industries simultaneously
  • Proven self-starter, yet also possesses the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and technology
  • Experience with various media channels
  • Experience delivering communications to senior level executives
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and stable under pressure
  • Experience with project management tools for documentation and tracking
  • General understanding of project management principles (agile, iterative, waterfall)
  • Experience managing large, complex projects and multiple projects at one-time
  • Experience with, and understanding of, digital marketing is required
  • Experience managing multi-channel media campaigns is a bonus
