401(k) Plan Administrator--TPA--Hybrid

*This position can be one day per month in office. This position cannot be 100% remote*
401(k) Plan Administrator – Orange County, CA (Hybrid After Training)

Are you an experienced retirement plan professional looking for a role where your expertise is valued and your voice is heard? Our client, a well-established third-party administrator (TPA) in Orange County, is seeking a 401(k) Plan Administrator to manage a growing caseload of retirement plans and deliver exceptional client service.
About the Role
In this position, you’ll start by managing a smaller caseload, eventually growing to approximately 90 plans, including:
- 401(k), Profit Sharing, Safe Harbor, and New Comparability plans
- A mix of small and audited plans
Your responsibilities will include:
- Compliance testing
- Government reporting
- Direct client communication
You will not be responsible for distributions or plan documents.
This is a client-facing role, so comfort and confidence in phone communication is essential. Our client prioritizes respectful, professional relationships and has a strong stance on maintaining a positive work environment.
Work Environment
- Initial training: 100% in-office for one week. The employer will cover the cost for the new employee to stay in a hotel.
- Transition to hybrid: After one week in office training, transition to one day per month in office
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in 401(k) plan administration at a TPA
- Strong background in testing, reporting, and client interaction
- Experience with ASC software is a plus, but not required
- A proactive communicator who advocates for themselves and collaborates well with others
