Job Title: 401(k) Advisory Sales Representative
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Compensation: Base salary up to 90k plus incentive compensation!
Job Summary:
As a 401(k) Advisory Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our retirement plan business by acquiring new clients and managing relationships with existing ones. You will consult with business owners, HR professionals, and other decision-makers to design and implement effective 401(k) plans that meet the needs of their workforce while complying with regulatory requirements. This position offers significant earning potential based on sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and target new prospects, primarily small to mid-sized businesses, and generate sales opportunities for 401(k) plan services.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Engage with decision-makers to understand their retirement plan needs and offer customized 401(k) solutions tailored to their company’s objectives and workforce demographics.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing advisory services and support to ensure their satisfaction with their retirement plan.
- Plan Design & Implementation: Work closely with clients to design 401(k) plans that comply with federal regulations and meet the specific needs of their employees.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver engaging presentations to business owners and HR personnel to educate them on the benefits of a well-structured retirement plan.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to effectively advise clients on 401(k) plan design and compliance.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial services, retirement plan consulting, or employee benefits sales.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a consultative sales environment.
- Knowledge of 401(k) Plans: Strong understanding of 401(k) plan structures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Licenses/Certifications: FINRA Series 65 or 66 license preferred. If not licensed, the candidate must be willing to obtain the necessary licensing within a specified time frame.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in retirement plan sales or consulting.
