Job Description
Account Manager – North East Territory
Serves existing Accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers with specified regions and across a variety of food and related markets.
Manages administrative tasks including price quote requests, commercialization process and customer follow-up
Works closely with customer service, R&D operations and sales management
Keeps management informed submitting activity and results such as call reports, weekly work plans month and annual territory analyses
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
Recommend changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems / solutions; preparing reports, making recommendations to management
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
Provides historical records by maintaining records and customer sales with company CRM
Contributes to team effort by accomplishments related results as needed
East Coast Sales Summary:
- Territory covers the eastern US from Indiana to the East Coast with the majority of accounts in the Indiana/Ohio area/New Jersey/Toronto
- Account base of approximately 40 regional accounts and $6 million in sales
- 70% of time managing current accounts with 30% of time developing new business
- Approximately 50% travel required
- Home office based
- Ideal candidate would be in Indiana, Ohio based or New Jersey
- Base salary between $90k and $130k
- $20,000 bonus pool – Uncapped
- 5% MBO
- Company Vehicle

Job Requirements
Qualifications
BA/BS degree and at least 5+ years’ experience in b2b sales; customer service, sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting, negotiation, product knowledge, client relationships and closing sales; specialty / solution sales experience preferred.
