Analytical Chemist

The Analytical Chemist will have the following duties:

  • Perform routine analyses of samples including raw materials, plant samples, customer complaint samples, new product development materials and competitive products
  • Duties would include sample preparation, instrument calibration, analysis of samples, method development and report writing.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Chemistry including Quantitative Analysis and Instrumental Analysis
  • Good quantitative lab skills
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques as well as instrumental methods including DSC, TGA, FTIR, GC and GC/MS
  • Good Word and Excel skills
  • Ability to master a variety of instrument software programs
  • Clean and near work habits to succeed in a shared laboratory
  • Two years’ experience in an industrial analytical laboratory preferred. Experience with coatings products a definite plus
