Summary:     

Perform Senior-level accounting and financial analysis.  Assists the Controller in providing leadership and direction to the Finance department.  Requires a strong accounting background, cost accounting knowledge and experience in the preparation of consolidated and consolidating financial statements and financial analysis.  

Job Duties/Responsibilities  -- The “What”:

• Prepares consolidating and consolidated financial statements and transmission of the financial results to corporate. Assist in the preparation of the monthly Controller’s Report for review and forwarding to Corporate.  Preparation of the monthly financial reports, including the monthly rolling forecast.  Prepare and provide general report requests from plant management and Corporate personnel.
• Performs ad hoc financial analysis regarding potential opportunities for improvement.
• Leads process improvements and cost reduction projects utilizing lean initiatives within the finance organization while partnering with the Controller on project review and verification on projects outside the Finance organization.
• Prepares the monthly short-term cash forecast for submission to Corporate after review and approval by plant management.
• Provides support and leadership to the payroll function.
• Leads the month-end close process by providing assistance and direction to the Financial Services personnel during journal entry preparation and sign-off.  Assist the Controller on month-end financial analysis and review prior to submission to plant management and Corporate.
• Reviews and analyze WIP and FG jobs in inventory to determine the cost does not exceed the net realizable value.
• Works with the Controller to develop, analyze and prepare the annual plan.
• Assists the Controller on the annual physical inventory and reconciliation process.
• Reviews and approve the daily vouchers entered.  Ensure that vouchers entered are reasonable and appropriate.
• Provides direction to the preparation and submission of the MPC and Sales & Use Tax.
• Works with the Controller to prepare and accumulate the annual reports for submission to Corporate, including the Annual Tax Package, Annual Surveys and other miscellaneous requests.
• Teams with the Controller in regards to the preparation and review of capital project requests.  Verify the reasonableness of the request and accumulate all required documentation for the preparation of the Capital RFE for submission to plant management and Corporate.
