Associate Manager, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs

The duties of the Associate Manager, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs will include:

  • Oversee and manage Quality Document Administrators (QDA) – assign work, conduct training, lead team meetings, review performances, support professional development and other activities as needed
  • Lead quality and regulatory compliance for food ingredient portfolios per regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA and other domestic and international regulations)
  • Address quality and regulatory assessments of new product introductions and product launches
  • Monitor new regulatory developments by domestic and international regulatory agencies relevant to our products and services
  • Deliver regulatory presentations at application development, sales and quality assurance meetings
  • Participate and update work related to regulatory activities in internal regulatory departmental meetings
  • Support in ingredient safety and efficacy preparation and submission with regulatory authorities
  • Monitor and maintain scientific library on safety and efficacy studies of our sweeteners, flavor enhancers and other ingredients

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific training (MSc. or Ph.D.).  Ph.D. preferred
  • Experience in food or feed science and regulations
  • Capacity to lead and work in team environments
  • Training in food science and food technology, food processing, food regulation is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Detailed, analytical and efficient in making decisions
  • Experience in technical presentation and technical dossier preparation is desirable
  • Able to negotiate and work in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office programs
  • Ability to post or share articles on LinkedIn
  • Some business travel as needed
