Job Description

Associate Scientist – Applications

Under the guidance of the manager, the associate scientist will learn company products and how to demonstrate their applications to various customer products.  You will learn the applications directory and follow SOP’s and GMP’s.  Your continuous learning and understanding of product applications will lead to creating new formulations to showcase to customers, brokers and distributors.  Conduct numerous trials and tastings and document findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers
  • Document and record project results
  • Support sales efforts by instructing customers and distributors on the usage and selection of ingredients for formulations
  • Work with Foodservice, Domestic, and International customers and distributors
  • Provide introductory presentations, open houses and training seminars to customers and distributors
  • Organize and prepare samples and demonstrations for trade shows
  • Support new product development efforts from screening of products to usage development
  • Provide input on marketing materials
  • Travel as needed for both domestic and international trips

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • BS in Food Science
  • 1-3 years’ experience in food industry
  • Enzyme experience a plus / flavor creation a plus
