Job Description
My client, a progressive manufacturing company in DeKalb, is seeking a Buyer to join their growing team.
Buyer - Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for supporting the purchasing team with vendor selection, manage vendor relationships, pricing and working cross functionally with engineering and sales.
- Assist in managing a $20M spend of steel, aluminum, components and other raw materials
- Be involved in planning and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Involved in negotiations with vendors
- Ensure accurate end of month inventory
- Communicate with suppliers and resolve any issues

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in a Buyer role with a manufacturing company
- Ability to read blue prints is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Strong problem solving skills
- Computer skills – Excel and MRP
