Job Description
My client, a global leading chemical manufacturing company in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Category Manager to manage the Facility Services categories.
Category Manager, Facility Services – Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, this position will be responsible for managing a $60M spend of Facility Services to establish short and long term strategies; cost optimization; value creation; supplier relationship development, and risk mitigation.
- Work with multiple business units to develop sourcing strategies and supplier management
- Involvement in financial planning and forecasting
- Provide market analysis and analyze data for cost savings purposes
- Drive end to end sourcing process
- Create and implement cost savings initiatives
- Vendor selection and management
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree is required and MBA is preferred
- Solid experience in a strategic sourcing position with an industrial manufacturer (prefer chemical)
- Solid experience sourcing Facility Services for multiple plants

Base salary: $140-150K + 14% -16% bonus
