Certified Flavorist – Sweet Flavors
This position will be responsible for creating novel and innovative sweet flavors primarily for beverage applications and will have a high level of tolerance to their fast pace of target marketplace in response to specific needs from new sales which will involve creating, modifying or duplicating flavors in response to customer requests. Will also partner with the Director of R&D in developing programs and techniques to move towards attaining the goals of the new Flavor Department as per requirements of Sales, Marketing, Technical, Applications and Manufacturing. Will act as a technical representative for the Company by participating in and/or conducting customer presentations. Will assist in training programs for junior technical personnel and sales representatives or support others whenever necessary. Will provide technical support to other functional groups within the company such as Quality Control, Production, Purchasing, Applications, Sales and R&D and assist the Director of R&D in evaluation of new ingredients as to their commercial value. Ensure that newly created flavors comply within the bounds of the legislative and regulatory requirements. To be aware of new developments (i.e., new raw materials, sources, supplies, etc.) and advancement in technologies within the Flavor, Food and Beverage Industries and to be able to share this information with the other members of Executive and Creative Staff. Present with the Director of R&D at various trade and technical meetings as and when needed. Assist in policing of the Creative Group to maintain maximum security of proprietary information without hindering the creative process.

Salary
$150,000 - $180,000
Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- BS / MS Chemistry or related
- Flavorist Certification also required
- This will be their first Flavorist for the company. He/She will be responsible for building their flavor program and will function as their flavor expert, both internally and externally.
