Corporate Quality Operations Manager
The Corporate Quality Operations Manager (CQOM) is a key member of the Quality Leadership Team and overseeing quality at all of the company Co-manufacturing and key supplier locations. The CQOM will develop and implement robust food safety plans, quality programs, and audit processes to ensure that each of our partners are meeting or exceeding company and SQF standards. The position requires a food science background with manufacturing experience.
Functions of the Position:
- Serves as an SQF practitioner, expert, and coach, assures pre-requisite programs are inspection ready. Provides internal audit support/leadership for all sites
- Assures company and SQF procedures, programs, and systems are fully implemented. Conducts food safety audits
- Oversees and coaches co-manufacturing and supplier associates
- Provides liaison support, start up support, and validation confirmation for all innovation work. Leads the qualification of new or reformulated products
- Develops and maintains a relationship with senior leadership of the co-manufacturing organization. Provides insight, advice, and technical expertise on an as ended basis
- Leads CI, Quality, and plant initiatives that improve and sustain quality performance, programs, and systems
- Develops, reviews, and coauthors process and product specification. Assures compliance to specification
- Investigates customer/consumer complaints, implements corrective and preventive actions, and provides responses and reports in a timely manner. Provides assistance to customer service representatives when technical expertise is needed
- Works with all plant departments and senior management to continuously improve the level of quality for all raw materials, work-in-process products, and finished goods
- Initiates quality control programs that are developed and/or required by customers. Works closely with customers to understand their requirements and their product specifications
- Serves as active member of the Quality leadership team. Make quality and food safety related recommendations to the VP, Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance and keeps the VP informed of significant quality and food safety issues

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor of science degree in a food science, microbiology, or laboratory science (such as biology, chemistry or physics, etc.) is required
- Seven or more years of experience in managing quality operations in a food-manufacturing environment required
