Corporate Quality Program Manager

The Corporate Quality Program Manager will have the following responsibilities:

*Coordinating day-to-day quality and food safety operational management of food production

*Works in conjunction with the Plant Quality Manager to plan, organize, schedule, and manage the complete activities of the Quality Assurance Department

*Work closely with QA Plant Manager and QA Director on all Quality functions to ensure compliance to all policies and procedures

*Participate in all QA meetings and new product activities with operations as required

*Generate Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) for products manufactured in the plant

*A leader for all Food Safety related issues including supporting Allergen Coordinator (generate allergen reports and answer allergen questions)

*Help to drive overall efforts to a more Quality Assurance model vs. Strictly a control model

*Support, train, review, coach and manage staff.  Stressing the need for teamwork across the enterprise

*Responsible for food safety and quality of the product produced or packaged on a daily basis

*Coordinates the completion of 3rd party food safety audits, in conjunction with the QA Plant Manager

*Assists management in developing short and long-term goals and plans for the company.  Provides suggestions and recommendations

*Acts as back-up to the QA Plant Manager and if needed, QA Director

*Ensures that completed work is of the highest quality.  Provides suggestions for improved service delivery.  Seeks new methods to accomplish departmental tasks

*Initiate root cause and corrective action by reporting any food safety or quality problems with Plant QA and Director of QA

Requirements:

*BS in Chemistry, Food Science, or Microbiology preferred

*5 years of experience working in the area of quality control / quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment, preferably in ingredients, confectionary, jams, and/or soups

*This position is Quality systems documentation, auditing, and training manager position working closely with the plant floor Quality Manager, Production and R& D

*Food safety quality system experience.  Knowledgeable of GMP's, sanitation, SOP's, Allergen Control, FSMA and HACCP

*Understands troubleshooting on quality production and processes and revise programs and policies accordingly

*Plusses PCQI certification, HACCP certification, process control for acidified foods and SQF Practitioner preferred
