Job Description
Established firm looking for an experience Design Engineer with experience across a variety of manufacturing methods such as metal fabrication, injection molding, etc. The Design Engineer will
- Utilize understanding of mechanical fits, finishes, and manufacturing tolerances for standard manufacturing processes like molding, casting, machining, and fabrication to create effective professional detail prints and schematics using AutoCAD from basic new product concepts or reverse engineering so that not only vendors understand finished drawings but other engineers can also understand the part development and maintain drawings
Using:
- Effective value engineering design for lower volume production of originally higher volume OEM parts.
- Hands on metrology expertise including for tolerances of form, material hardness, and gage accuracy
- Working knowledge and effective use of Excel to create and maintain aggregated product family databases and price lists

Job Requirements
Must have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in product design using one or more of these manufacturing methods. A naturally curious person who loves to work on a diversity of projects and figur\\e out how stuff works!
