Job Description

 General Purpose:

Provide oversight and management of all accounting and related financial operations for multiple significant and/or complex areas; this includes multiple accounting functions including but not limited to general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, cost accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Has accountability for managing and/or performing financial activities in the following areas: financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and forecasting, external financial reporting, budgeting, and tax activities as requested. Provide general financial support, analysis, and recommendations to multiple levels of finance and business management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile and perform analysis of internal financial forecasts (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.)
  • Understand and communicate forecast and budget variances to senior management
  • Evaluate financial analysis results; recommend proactive actions/changes to achieve financial targets and strategic business objectives
  • Compile, monitor, and analyze a consolidated annual budget plan in conjunction with Corporate Accounting
  • Lead the team in the development and refinement of financial and operational reports. Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of all financial results
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports for filing with regulatory agencies based on application of relevant accounting standards
  • Perform profit & loss (P&L) and balance sheet analysis, including variance analysis
  • Understand and track financial performance
  • Work closely with those in commercial finance to understand budget and forecast drivers, developing summary explanations for presentation to senior management
  • Recommend financial strategies that have short to mid-term (1-3 years) impact on business results in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Understand and participate in reviewing the company’s tax planning strategies
  • Lead and/or complete special projects

Job Requirements

 

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related curriculum
  • 10+ years of progressive finance, accounting, and/or related experience including complex financial activity and general leadership experience.
  • Must have CPA 
  • Food and Beverage industry experience is a huge plus

  • In-depth and broad knowledge of general accounting concepts and practices, financial reporting, and FP&A activities
  • Skills in analytical thinking, including research, interpreting data, and analyzing information
  • Able to think strategically with well-honed business skills and savvy
  • Able to demonstrate solid business judgement and decision-making skills
  • Able to solve complex problems or address challenging situations at both the strategic and functional levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including exceptional communication and listening skills, with the capacity to articulate positions and provide direction
  • Able to demonstrate integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and values, including proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects consecutively
  • Excellent judgment, critical thought, and the ability to make decisions and advise demonstrating an understanding of the risks of each situation
  • Able to demonstrate an approachable, professional demeanor
  • Able to initiate and adapt to change
  • Proficiency in the financial software and advanced Excel, Microsoft D365, Microsoft BI and other financial modeling tools
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
