Job Description
Our client is a global producer of chemical products used in many different industries. They currently seek an EHS Specialist with excellent interpersonal skills that is eager to make a positive difference at their facility outside of Channahon, IL.
Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist/Health/Environmental/EHS Manager/EHS/Engineering/Chemicals/Specialist/Safety
As an EHS Specialist job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Continuously improve efficiency of environmental, health and safety systems
- Contribute to the writing/updating of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Provide EHS reviews, coaching, and training
- Investigate safety concerns and incidents; provide and track solutions
- Create and implement site’s PSM program

Job Requirements
As an EHS Specialist job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- BS in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or another science related field is preferred
- 2+ years of direct experience in an EHS role out of a PSM regulated chemical plant
- Knowledge of root cause analysis
- Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Experience Developing and Leading Occupational Health & Safety Programs
