Job Title: Loans & Distributions Specialist - FULLY REMOTE

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Loans & Distributions Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing a high-volume workload of approximately 800+ annual distributions and loan transactions within a Third-Party Administration (TPA) environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with retirement plans and a strong understanding of brokerage accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all transactions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee participant distributions, rollovers, and loan requests in a timely and compliant manner
  • Manage a workload of 800+ transactions annually, maintaining accuracy under volume
  • Review documentation for completeness and compliance with plan provisions and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with custodians, recordkeepers, and brokerage platforms to facilitate transactions
  • Reconcile and track distribution and loan activity across multiple systems
  • Ensure proper tax reporting and withholding requirements are met
  • Communicate directly with clients, advisors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide status updates
  • Maintain detailed records and audit trails for all processed transactions
  • Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

 

 

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, TPA operations, or financial services
  • Demonstrated experience handling high-volume distributions and/or loan processing
  • Strong familiarity with brokerage accounts and custodial platforms
  • Knowledge of retirement plan rules (401(k), profit sharing, etc.) and IRS regulations
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with recordkeeping platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
