General Manager – Restaurant

Currently looking for a dynamic General Manager to oversee daily operations and guide the growth of this retail / foodservice business.  The Café will open late spring/early Summer to introduce consumers to a whole, new great tasting experience.

The ideal candidate is able to not only manage the operations of the café, but also to develop the full potential of the business, from cooking classes to private events and beyond.  Vision, a passion for food and business will be critical for this position.  The position requires an experienced financial business acumen who can control costs via smart staffing and strong financial oversight, and who will recognize opportunities to increase revenue.

Primary responsibilities to include:

  • Manage the restaurant P&L and assume full ownership and accountability for the financial results of the café
  • Analyze what is working / not working. Work with all parties (chef to co-manufacturers) to make updates and drive business
  • Create new programs to drive revenue while controlling product and labor costs
  • Manage the payroll on a weekly basis
  • Hire and train the cafés employees
  • Participate in strategic planning / budgeting both for the F&B operations as well as the overall business
  • Coordinate and communicate all policies of company to personnel under your supervision
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company and its products
  • Work closely with company’s senior management to communicate key performance metrics, initiatives and feedback
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to create exciting marketing initiatives and analyze their success
