Grease Development Scientist

Enjoy New England life in this exciting role developing new grease and industrial lubricant products.  Excellent benefits.  New product development and customer support, including plant support, and working closely with Sales and Marketing to custom develop solutions for customers!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Solve technical challenges leading to completion of technically demanding development projects
  • Independently drive development projects
  • Compose recipes for lubricant and grease formulations
  • Complete documentation of lab and project work
  • Introduce and execute new ideas and anticipate future trends
  • Read and write internal and external publications, draw conclusions
  • Evaluate new raw materials, processes, and technologies
  • Communicate promptly with team

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing company
  • Direct grease formulation experience
  • Previous experience focused on materials polymer chemistry
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proven problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office products and an ERP (SAP preferred)
