Human Resource Manager - Fortune 500 company - GREAT BENEFITS AND GREAT BRANDS!

We are looking for hire a Human Resource Manager for our 800 person plant located just south of Des Monies. This role will have 3 direct reports and 7 indirect reports. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies.
  • Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources.
  • Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law.
  • Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
  • Accountable for developing the HR Generalists to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, training and retention programs while maintaining the plants affirmative action program.
  • Advises and guides management on utilizing the cultural beliefs to foster an engaging and inclusive work environment.
  • Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on overseeing the development of the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements, to assure safe and healthy working conditions, and reduce frequency of accidents.
  • Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent employee relations experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist roles in a manufacturing/processing environment.
  • A strong pattern of initiative, achievement, and leadership.
  • Proven problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
