Job Description

  • Foster positive employee relations by skillfully administering company policies and the collective bargaining agreement within a union environment.
  • Provide guidance to management on effective human resources utilization.
  • Assume responsibility for decision-making related to terminations and performance counseling, ensuring consistent enforcement of policies and procedures to comply with state and federal laws.
  • Manage the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
  • Coordinate and lead employee training programs.
  • Maintain the plant's affirmative action program.
  • Oversee the development of Safety and Security Programs, aligning with OSHA and corporate requirements to ensure safe and healthy working conditions and reduce accident frequency.
  • Manage workers' compensation and non-work related disability programs, emphasizing cost control and ensuring quality care for employees through collaboration with the medical community.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Human Resources Information System, reflecting precise human resource and payroll information.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in employee relations.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.
  • Demonstrated initiative, achievement, and leadership track record.
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
