Machine Operator (Coater)
Job Description
Hourly pay up $17 - $22/hour
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, 401k.
Join a growing specialty manufacturing company with a long history of success and increasing production demand. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and operating equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous machine operation, coating, mixing, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to learn new processes and follow detailed work instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to accept feedback and adapt to changing priorities
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Availability to work a first-shift schedule consisting of 10- or 12-hour shifts, generally Monday through Thursday, with Fridays required as production needs dictate
Job Duties
- Set up and operate coating and production equipment according to established procedures
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality
- Load and unload production materials and finished goods
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and assist with corrective actions
- Record production, quality, and process data accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
- Assist with equipment cleaning and changeovers between production runs
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure efficient operations
- Train other operators when qualified and assist with additional duties as needed
