Salary: 55K- 60K DOE
Our client, a full service dynamic marketing agency is seeking a talented media planner to join its team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing campaign strategies across both traditional and digital platforms. Working closely with our buying team, you will contribute to the creation and execution of strategic plans tailored to our client's needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting upfront research, crafting compelling rationales for campaign ideas, determining media mix, and allocating budgets effectively. Additionally, you will be instrumental in crafting client presentations, proposal recommendations, and industry insights, thereby impacting client relationships positively. Reporting to a director within the team, you will collaborate closely with our buying subject matter experts on reporting, project timelines, and billing. A commitment to transparent communication and continuous learning is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize media research tools to gather and analyze data, informing strategic planning and supporting recommendations.
- Collaborate with media buyers to develop strategic recommendations aligned with client objectives and goals.
- Participate in client presentations and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client communication.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to media investments, including approvals and budgets across various traditional and digital channels.
- Work closely with media buyers to provide guidance on project parameters, offer feedback based on client strategy, and maintain brand consistency throughout the process.
- Develop comprehensive narratives within measurement and performance documents, leveraging insights from each buyer's analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Actively engage in team activities, including birthday celebrations, volunteer initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of media planning experience, preferably within an agency setting.
- Strong understanding of media planning and buying processes, coupled with a desire to explore new tactics and drive client business growth.
- Proficiency in extracting and interpreting research data, including from sources such as Kantar, Comscore, MRI-Simmons, and SRDS. Experience with self-serve social and paid search platforms is a plus.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage details, budgets, and flowcharts effectively.
- Familiarity with the digital media landscape (display, native, SEM, social, video) is essential, with exposure to traditional media (Linear TV, radio, outdoor, print, OTT) being advantageous.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, accompanied by proficiency in Excel for data analysis and formulation of actionable plans.
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring on-site presence Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday weekly.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
