Operator – Production
Nice size company looking for an operator for production! If you have experience working in a chemical/food manufacturing plant in production, this could be a great opportunity for you. Excellent benefits are offered and a collaborative team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor equipment used for producing and packaging products
- Monitor batches for quality and safety parameters, including Critical Control Points and Control Points
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas according to company procedures
- Promptly report all food safety, physical safety, and product quality issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Control and monitoring of computerized systems for production
- Measure, weigh, mix, and process chemical ingredients following established procedures to create finished products
- Record production, sanitation, and test data accurately and legibly
- Draw samples of products for quality tests
- Monitor 2 computer screens to watch when kettle is being transferred
- Monitor tankers to make sure acid stays at a certain level
- Ability to move lever to transfer one kettle to another
- Fill containers with chemical products for sale or internal use

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds repetitively
- Proficient in reading and mathematics at the high school graduate level
- Forklift certification is preferred
- A minimum of two years of chemical or food processing is preferred
- GMP and HACCP training is a plus
- Must be able to stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders repetitively
- Must be able to wear the required Personal Protection Equipment for extended periods of time
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate production-related machinery including, but not limited to: forklifts, agitators, homogenizers, and drum tippers
- Must be able to perform visual and olfactory observations
