Personal Care Regulatory Manager
Job Description
Base salary $120,000-$150,000
Bonus eligible
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the regulatory function at a fast-growing, innovation-driven manufacturer supporting some of the most exciting emerging brands in the personal care space. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the regulatory team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and day-to-day oversight
- Ensure compliance of all personal care product formulations and labeling with domestic and international regulations
- Serve as the primary regulatory contact for brand partners and internal teams
- Support cross-functional teams including formulation, R&D, quality, and sales by interpreting regulatory requirements and providing guidance
- Represent the company at customer meetings, audits, and industry events
- Stay up to date on evolving regulatory trends and proactively adapt internal policies and practices accordingly
- Partner with leadership to continuously improve regulatory systems, documentation, and team capabilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field
Requirements:
- Regulatory experience within the personal care or cosmetics industry
- Proven leadership and team management experience (will oversee 2–3 direct reports)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including direct customer engagement
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately one week every couple of months (e.g., customer visits, trade shows)
- Must work onsite; not eligible for remote
- Prior experience with contract manufacturing or emerging personal care brands is a strong plus
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
