Job Description

 

  • Offer guidance, promote best practices, and enhance efficiency across all HR realms including recruitment, compensation, talent management (e.g., training, succession planning), analytics, and administrative tasks (e.g., payroll/benefits).
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and business regulations by implementing and overseeing plant employee relations, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with plant management to continuously improve workforce capabilities, encompassing labor planning, performance management, competitive salary analysis, recognition, and rewards programs.
  • Provide expert advice and support to all management levels in interpreting and implementing personnel policies and programs.
  • Develop tailored training programs in direct collaboration with manufacturing plants to maintain effective and sustainable initiatives.
  • Oversee salary administration, disciplinary processes, and investigations.
  • Consult on legal compliance, employee relations, procedural matters, strategic planning, and performance management issues.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and coaching to equip client groups with skills for effective conflict resolution, change management, and issue handling.
  • Offer coaching, guidance, and support to client groups in areas like talent management, leadership skills, and fostering employee engagement.
  • Aid in the implementation of various HR programs and initiatives.
  • Manage plant communications to ensure employees comprehend business objectives, programs, and policies.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and counseling to the Plant Manager and other pertinent individuals.
  • Cultivate the development of HR Generalists.
  • Develop and implement Human Resources programs and policies aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure all plant HR activities adhere to legal, ethical, and credible standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Division/Corporate office.
  • Act as the organizational conscience, staying attuned to key organizational issues.
  • Advocate for the balance between site and corporate HR objectives, understanding their critical interplay.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably holds a four-year degree; professional certification is a valuable asset
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5+ years in a Plant Human Resources Manager role or exhibits a Senior Generalist background within a manufacturing setting
  • Exhibits a track record showcasing critical thinking, adept problem-solving capabilities, and decisive decision-making skills
  • A strategic HR leader with a capacity to influence others effectively
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks proficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Driven by goals and oriented towards achieving results
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a prerequisite
  • Must be bi-lingual Spanish
