Plant Manager/Chemical Engineer/Engineering/Manufacturing/Chemicals/Site Manager/PSM/Manager/Operations Manager/Plant Engineering Manager/Senior Process Engineer/Chemical Manufacturing/Supervisor/Production Manager/Energetic Materials/Chemical Refining/Explosives

The Site Manager will provide strong leadership and direction toward the achievement of Zero Harm. Accountable to plan, lead and manage efficient manufacturing at the Graham, KY manufacturing site.  Lead efforts to deliver results on Plant and Corporate goals and objectives as well as foster Corporate Values. Ensure business is operated within compliance of all local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Other duties will include:

  • Provide leadership and direction in the achievement of Zero Harm
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company Health, Safety and Environmental performance standards as well as applicable local, state and federal regulations
  • Lead and develop a workforce including the leadership staff to meet and/or exceed organizational objectives
  • Champion a culture of engagement and open communication
  • Direct/coordinate operation resources to ensure customer demands are met
  • Develop/manage the site budget include controlling the site expenditures and assets to achieve financial targets
  • Align plant cost reductions, productivity improvements, organizational development, and safety performance to meet corporate business strategies
  • Develop, maintain, and improve site metrics and processes using LEAN methodologies as well as other progressive manufacturing techniques
  • Champion/development/implementation organizational & manufacturing efficiency improvements
  • Participate in the development of new products and/or production processes
  • Actively participate as a member of the plant Leadership Team to understand/solve organizational issues and increase plant business growth
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through active participation including identification of efficiencies and quality improvements in work processes and problem solving
  • Manage the plant capital budget, capital expenditure & P&L
  • Identify areas for performance improvement based on P & L as well as site and customer profitability

 Salary Range: $175,000/year - $180,000/year plus 20% bonus

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • B.S., Chemical Engineering; Masters &/or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in chemicals, specialty chemicals, petrochems, refining (in a PSM regulated environment)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management/operations leadership capacity in one of the above industries
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred
  • Experience with environmental laws and regulations; able to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials
  • Ability to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership manner
