Our client is a global producer of zinc from recycled resources. They are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to add to their facility in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydrometallurgy with a focus on leaching, electrowinning and/or solvent extraction.

As a Process Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure continuous optimization of manufacturing processes
• Manage process/maintenance/construction projects from cradle to grave
• Provide technical engineering support throughout facility
• Maintain all quality and environmental standards/compliance
• Assist in new process development
• Train and mentor more junior staff
• Ensure safety and environmental regulations are met

As a Process Engineer job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or a chemical-related industry (will consider fresh grads with relevant co-op experience)
• Experience identifying process improvements
• Experience providing technical support of a facility or production area
• Previous involvement in executing projects from concept through implementation
• Experience evaluating metallurgical processes
