Our client is an industry leader in the manufacturing of inorganic chemicals. They are in search of Process Project Engineer for their facility in central Wisconsin. This person will be responsible for process engineering related activities and executing small capital projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with process optimization and continuous improvement projects in the chemical industry. 

 As a Process Project Engineer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate personal leadership in plant safety and environmental initiatives
  • Ensure continuous optimization of manufacturing processes
  • Provide daily troubleshooting
  • Monitor plant processes and reports deficiencies to the appropriate plant department
  • Identify, plan champion, implement process improvement projects
  • Specify equipment and materials for plant processes to ensure process reliability
  • Project responsibilities include: cost estimation for new projects, materials procurement and acceptance, installation oversight, project cost management, maintain a current project documentation, communicate project status to stakeholders
  • Creation/review of process operating procedures to support plant improvements
  • Ensure process & project compliance with construction, engineering, safety & environmental codes & regulations
  • Participate in training to plant employees on process improvements/modifications
  • Lead or participate in process hazard analysis reviews
  • Support PSM, RMP, PHA action item resolution
  • Lead Safety/Process related incident investigation

 

Salary Range: up to $115,000 + 7% yearly bonus potential

Job Requirements

Process Project Engineer job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering required
  • 4-7 years of experience as a Process/Production/Project Engineer in a manufacturing plant out of chemicals, refining, petrochemicals, and/or paper is ideal
  • Experience providing daily technical support, firefighting, and process improvements
  • Experience executing capital projects
  • Previous experience in a PSM regulated facility would be ideal
  • Familiarity with DCS systems is a plus
