Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: East of Columbus, OH   *5 days per week onsite*

Job Summary:
My client, a leading industrial manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role also offers the opportunity to drive both tactical and strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procurement activities for mass production parts, with some involvement in new model and trial parts.
  • Oversee basic supplier management activities including scorecards, managing cost, quality, and delivery, and conducting supplier visits.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of 4 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and goals.
  • Balance both tactical and strategic procurement efforts to achieve business objectives.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
  • Certifications such as CPSM, C.P.M., or other relevant credentials are preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of management experience in a procurement role.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive industry or similar.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
