Job Description

A growing food manufacturer with two production facilities in Southern California is seeking a Production Manager that is dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. As the 2nd Shift Production Manager, you will oversee daily production operations and personnel, ensuring adherence to established production and quality control standards. Your role involves scheduling, training, and motivating the production team to achieve optimal productivity while minimizing costs. A great opportunity to collaborate with various departments, including maintenance, quality assurance, and sales, to streamline operations, implement continuous improvement practices, and analyze performance data to foster a lean manufacturing culture.

In addition to supervising production employees and maintaining safety protocols, you will actively monitor quality to prevent out-of-spec products and identify causes of any discrepancies. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring effective communication between management and staff, resolving employee conflicts, and conducting performance evaluations. With a strong emphasis on leadership, process improvement, and employee motivation, you will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and driving the organization toward its operational goals.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 (Please note that an offer in this range is dependent on related experience and skill set.)

 

** This position is in the Anaheim area and on site 5 days a week.  Will assist with relocation for those open to moving to the area. **

 

Job Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

Candidates should possess at least five years of experience in production within the food manufacturing industry to thrive in this position.

Current/previous managerial experience required

Collaborative communication style and good problem solving abilities
