Production Superintendent/Chemical Engineer/Chemical Manufacturing/Supervision

As a Production Superintendent, job responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage a unit of a large manufacturing facility, including 16 direct reports. This person will be 2nd in charge at the plant.
  • Oversee the PSM (Process Safety Management) program for two units
  • Manage projects, both continuous improvement projects and capital projects
  • Business is good and production is increasing at this facility, so someone who can be a champion for growth
  • Humble confidence – the culture at this company is very positive and everyone is valued. This person needs to be a strong leader while valuing and respecting the group.

As a Production Superintendent, job requirements consist of:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on chemical manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must have some reaction chemistry experience
  • Must have PSM experience and some continuous improvement experience
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus

I am a Technical Recruiter in the Chemical Engineering division at CPS. I recruit and place chemical engineers nationally with our clients who are chemical manufacturers, food & beverage companies, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies. 

Prior to joining our chemical engineering division, I recruited for CPS. I was our internal recruiter, or you might know it as Talent Acquisition. While in that role, I introduced our business model to candidates, as well as screened for qualifications. One comment I always received from my candidates was they felt their interview  with me was more of a conversation. 

I so genuinely believe in the opportunity that exists at CPS for recruiter candidates that I realized I, too, really wanted to develop a full desk in recruiting too. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time my family.
