Project Manager, Capacity and Growth Engineering

The Project Manager, Capacity and Growth Engineering is responsible for executing the brand long-term menu strategy and growth platforms enabling the company to reach ambitious targets of improved peak transactional throughput across the 7,500+ company and franchise restaurants.  This role will be responsible for partnering with a 3rd party to build a dynamic capacity model addressing operational constraints across all major aspects of the restaurants (customer access points, on-the-line storage, spacing, and equipment utilization, and preparation and storage utilization).  The Project Manager, Capacity and Growth Engineering will report to the Director of Engineering Rapid Growth.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Partner closely with stakeholders within Operations, Marketing, and the Food Innovation Team (FIT), at various levels, to define and evolve minimal operational guidelines for executing existing menu mix and transaction levels
  • Enable and operationalize dynamic model to address changes in menu, equipment, restaurant layouts, and processes. Create comprehensive plans outlining tasks, resource allocation, and risk assessment to unlock future growth
  • Allocate resources efficiently, budget, and equipment, to meet project requirements while ensuring that projects align with the organization’s strategic goals and contribute to its long-term success
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them; Monitor risks and implement contingency plans when necessary to drive concrete operational and financial impact in-restaurant
  • Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties – and challenge the status quo – to execute growth strategies that deliver best-in-class efficiency and effectiveness. Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and any changes in scope or objectives
  • Build concrete recommendations for operationalizing major menu growth platforms by assessing the overall performance and outcomes against initial goals; conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement

Job Requirements

Is This You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of restaurant, retail, or industrial engineering experience
  • Proven track record of operational improvements in a retail environment leading to measurable speed and transactional throughput enhancements
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be proactive, and work with teams
  • The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
