Our client is a global chemical manufacturer. They have an opening in their Engineering group for a Project Manager to be based in the suburbs of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects in the million-dollar range from concept through completion simultaneously in the chemical or related industries.

As a Project Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage multiple capital projects from concept through completion
• Prepare and manage all project documentation, estimates, schedules, etc.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, standards, and expectations locally, federally, and company wide
• Identify opportunities for projects and process improvements
• Work with outside vendors and contractors and cross functionally within the organization to ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.

As a Project Manager job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in chemical or related industry
• Must have experience managing multiple projects from start to finish simultaneously 
• Experience in a chemical process or PSM regulated facility preferred
• Willingness to travel 20-25% as needed
