Quality Assurance Specialist
In this role you will develop, manage, and continually improve the Quality Assurance Process and maintain SQF certification.
Assist in coordinating Quality Assurance and related programs to ensure Product Quality and Food Safety. Monitor compliance with cGMP and Food Safety programs by ensuring that the processes, systems, and procedures are in place.
Responsibilities:
- Set up Plant Review Board Meetings as necessary to address Process Deviations
- Ensure compliance with the applicable quality standards, SQF, and food standards
- Performs and/or coordinates internal audits
- Collaborate with Manufacturing / Quality Control to ensure compliance
- Support investigation of non-conformances to determine Root Cause
Other Focus Points of Role:
- Assist in training New Hires in the plant in Quality and Food Safety topics
- Assist in annual training of all employees at the site(s) for cGMP and Food Safety related topics
- Conduct record reviews and raw material and product releases as needed
- Actively participate in safety initiatives, including but not limited to emergency response plans
- Proactively mitigate accidents and eliminate unsafe conditions and report near-miss incidents

Job Requirements
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years’ experience in Quality
- SQF is a plus
- FSMA / PCQI a plus
- Training in Auditing Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
