Quality Manager
Global chemical manufacturer is seeking a strong technical leader for their Quality Manager opening! This role will supervise a strong group at a growing site. Flexibility to work onsite and from home when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Sets clear expectations for all team members and ensures those expectations are met
- Implements / utilizes processes that enable employees to release their full productive potential in support of the organization’s goals
- Manages site’s-controlled documents
- Sustains subject matter expertise of ISO 9001 QMS and RC 14001
- Conducts annual Management Review
- Manage / facilitates 3rd party and customer audits
- Trains new and existing internal auditors
- Performs duties of Site Lead Auditor and administers site internal audit program
- Acts as primary site contact for all customer support needs – complaints, specifications, questionnaires, surveys, etc.
- Oversees implementation of corrective actions generated by customer complaints, internal / external audits, and management review
- Leads problem solving investigations for product failures encountered during standard production
- Develops / upgrades / maintains lab equipment, including coordinating work with outside resources

Job Requirements
Technical Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a laboratory role
- Hands on experience with analytical equipment and solid analytical skills
- Knowledge of good / safe laboratory practices and analytical chemistry test methods
- Experience / knowledge of ISO 9001 certified quality system
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Preferred:
- Previous management experience
- Lead auditor trained
- Experience / knowledge of RC 14001
- Experience / knowledge of TS 16949
- Knowledge of SAP and Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Principles
- Strong planning, organization, facilitation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work with limited direction and manage multiple tasks at a time
- Good communication and people skills with ability to interact with internal and external customers
