R&D Chemist I/II
The R&D Scientist undertakes and organizes development projects in the interest of the company. Focus will be on developing new and unique products, as well as improving upon existing technology.
Hands on application research and project management exposure to ensure sustainable innovation doing release coatings formulation. Implement applied research projects including bench work. Work in conjunction with the project team and production lines including troubleshooting, application development, and commercialization.
- Develop new and improved products for the company worldwide in order to meet customer demands in a rapid and timely manner.
- Provide rapid and timely technical service, assisting Sales and customers.
- Identify and investigate potential areas of cost savings, product improvements, process efficiencies, and better-Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
- Provide technical support to all company departments.
- Participate in development of new and existing technologies and programs.
- Effectively interface with suppliers in identifying and qualifying new raw materials.
- Organize and summarize work in the form of technical reports.
- Publish or present technical work as appropriate.
- Join and actively participate in professional technical societies.
- Characterize, handle, label, manifest, or inspect hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.

Salary
$90,000 - $125,000

Job Requirements
Technical Keys:
BS/MS/PhD degree in Chemistry preferred. 3-10 years of formulation experience, 3 years of relevant industry experience in a single polymer industrial application.
- Working knowledge of Release Coatings, MWF, and Die Lubricants in the Casting Industry.
- Strong background in chemical formulation specific to a polymer system for industrial applications
- Must be a versatile, innovative, and resourceful scientist capable of conducting original, independent development.
- Must possess the written/oral skills necessary to effectively communicate complex technical information to colleagues with varied educational backgrounds
