Our client is a manufacturer of chemicals in search of a R&D Engineer to add to their manufacturing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in the lab and have experience running analytical tests.

As a R&D Engineer job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Support operations through R&D
• Run analytical tests to evaluate processes and create lab reports
• Utilize ChemCAD for scale up projects
• Manage new product development and apply expertise to process development
• Work cross-functionally to improve processes and products
• Ensure compliance of all legal and company guidelines for safety

As a R&D Engineer job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
• 10+ years of extraction through distillation processes and purification
• 3+ years of lab experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
• Thorough knowledge of organic chemistry
• Ideal candidate will have experience with homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis
• Previous experience with ChemCAD is a plus
