Job Description

Our client is a global leader in food manufacturing. They currently seek an R&D Engineering Manager to join their process development team in the suburbs of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have previous pilot plant experience and effective managerial skills.

R&D Manager/R&D Process Manager/R&D Engineer/Chemical Engineer/Chemistry/PhD/Pilot Plant/Engineering/Food Manufacturing/Manufacturing/Scale Up/Research and Development Engineer

As a R&D Process Manager job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the research and development strategic planning
  • Manage and mentor R&D process group
  • Offer technical knowledge to contribute to process development  
  • Recognize opportunities for short- and long-term technology projects

Job Requirements

As a R&D Process Manager job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • MS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry; PhD preferred
  • 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience out of food manufacturing or similar
  • 3+ years of management experience preferably in an R&D environment
  • Ability to travel up to 30% internationally and domestic
