Regional SHE and Security Manager

The Regional SHE & Security Manager is responsible for the goal of a Zero SHE Incident World to promote a Zero tolerance SHE Culture.  To coach, train and provide services to the company ANH premix sites in the United States and Canada (4 in all) to maintain compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental regulations, International Standards and company Corporate requirements.  Advise on SHE related issues in investment projects.

Conducts SHE & Security specific tasks in conjunction with local SHE Premix and production staffing according to an agreed program with the company Products Operations Director (Animal Nutrition & Health).

  • Conducts audits and inspections to identify SHE and Security gaps in compliance with US and Canadian regulations, International Standards and company Corporate Requirements, including the areas of Machine Safety, Process Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, Warehouse Safety, Training, Environmental Regulations and Reports, Incident Reporting and Investigation, CTPAT & PIP (trade security), site security. Provides hands-on assistance to close the gaps with agreed objectives and timed targets
  • Takes an active part in SHE & Security activities on company premix sites such as conducting Risk Assessments, HAZOP studies and training in conjunction with local staff for local implementation and use
  • Investigates SHE Incidents, with external experts when needed, and issues reports including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Develops long term SHE & Security training material for premix sites
  • Develops and coaches an appropriate SHE & Security behavior on company sites
  • Participates in Global SHE activities and working groups as appropriate
  • Participates in technical projects and technical working groups as appropriate
  • Negotiates Service Level Agreement with other company SHE Departments for service and support where applicable
  • Travel 30-50%

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science, technical or engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Operations and Safety
  • Minimum 5 years Feed/Food Industry experience
