Sales Support Administrator (SSA)

The role of a Sales Support Administrator (SSA) is a position with several areas of responsibility including but not limited to:  Customer Service, Sales, Inside Sales and Marketing.  The SSA must be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.  Good business communication skills are essential for this role.  Must be a self-motivator, highly organized and be able to accurately multi-task in order to complete simultaneous projects on an on-going basis.

  • Works with National Sales Director to help gather, organize and analyze sales, inside sales, customer sales reports on an ongoing basis. Reports include but not limit to commissions, expenses, and activity tracking
  • Works with assigned Sales person(s) to help analyze customer sales reports in an ongoing basis, to recognize buying patterns by product as requested
  • Answers all inquiries such as tracking, pricing, C of A’s, shipments, credits, scheduling, cancellation, adjustments, quotes, warehousing and other information pertaining to orders, in addition to collecting bill of ladings to create invoices and any of the above aforementioned paperwork
  • Prepares business reports, Salesforce.com activity, Trade Show pre/post call sales meeting and calendar reports
  • Receives customer orders, coordinates all purchase order details with each department
  • Maintains contracts (inputs into database, and works with Product Managers and Sales person to manage release dates for products)
  • Assists assigned Sales person(s) to help satisfy customer’s needs as deemed necessary
  • Coordinate with Marketing and track inside and outside lead/demand generation campaigns
  • Build relationships internally with Customer Service, Flavors, Solutions, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory and Sample Lab

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a sales customer service / sales position in a distribution setting is preferred
  • Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and experience in an office setting with 2-3 years proven success as a customer service representative
  • Must be self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must have proven sales aptitude with professional demeanor and great people skills
  • Tenacious follow-up and strong relationship management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is preferred
  • Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic personality required
  • Must be team oriented, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
