Scientific Affairs Scientist

Contribute to the communication of complex scientific information cross-functionally to deliver consistent, scientifically supported and approved claims and messages by monitoring, gathering, documenting and interpreting scientific information / data to support product and claims development to existing and future products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors, organizes, interprets and documents scientific information and data to support product and claims development for existing and future products
  • Contributes to the communication of complex scientific information cross-functionally to deliver consistent, scientifically supported, and approved claims and messages
  • Provide critical support for product development initiatives for the categories and manage cross-functional projects on an as-needed basis
  • Partner with marketing to develop innovation strategies across company portfolio categories by contributing to the full assessment of scientific landscape, identifying differentiating claims and positioning for new products
  • Liaison to Regulatory department for the categories. Supports regulatory and legal functions as needed by communicating scientific evidence, offering insight with respect to claims language

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Life Sciences or Biochemistry field. Candidates with a B.S. and considerable experience in the probiotic dietary supplement industry may be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience (Master’s Degree) or 8 years of experience (Bachelor’s Degree) in interpreting basic science and clinical research
  • Fluent and proficient abilities to search scientific databases for relevant literature and patents
