Scientist

Looking for a bright, hard-working scientist to join our dynamic research and development team. This role is responsible for the execution of laboratory work in the development of new products and reformulation efforts across a variety of product lines in polyurea/PUR roofing coatings, water/weather proofing, and green roof systems. The Scientist will work closely under the direction of the Sr. Scientist on stage gate processes to finalize projects and commercialize solutions. Some domestic travel may be required to support scale up of new products or to address issues with existing products. This position operates under the general guidance of the Senior Scientist and ultimately R&D Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in research activities on new and existing products as well as identifying and implementing new technologies within the R&D business group.
- Execute multiple New Product Development projects critical to support and grow building envelope business.
- Supporting the technical projects from ideation through scale up to commercialization.
- Supporting the business through new product development, processing and performance improvement, raw material qualification and cost reduction projects.
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, manufacturing, purchasing, warranty departments on defined project priorities, project scope and future development directions.
- Documenting work in technical reports.
- Championing of safe workspaces and practices.

Salary
$85,000 - $140,000
Benefits & Relo: M/V/D/Life. 401k with 5% Match; FSA, HAS; Education Reimbursement, Formal Management Training Program.
Relocation will be a lump sum covering physical move (probably 10K-15K before taxes). No closing costs / realtor fees.
Job Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Material Science (Adv Degree Welcomed)
- BS: Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience required
- Commercialization experience of large area PU barrier applications
- U.S. Citizen or Resident Only
