Senior Account Manager, Midwest

This individual will manage and develop national and international accounts based in the Midwest US; a significant part of your activity will be dedicated to the acquisition of new customers.  The territory has a strong ongoing project pipeline.  You will be supported by a very dynamic technical team.  The position requires a strong commitment and offers an attractive compensation package in return.  Specific duties to include:

  • Portfolio management, development and prospecting
  • Building up customer relationships
  • Initiation and intensive follow up of customer projects
  • Development of market visibility by targeted presence at events and shows
  • Regular reporting of activity, forecast, budget

Requirements:

  • BS Degree
  • Preferably a Food Technologist, with strong sales background
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience with flavor or ingredients
  • Familiar with professional B2B sales
  • Good existing network
  • Customer oriented
  • Focused on entrepreneurial business
  • Good analytic and intellectual background combined with a practical approach
  • Troubleshooter / able to locate red flags
  • Responsible and able to work in an independent and self-motivating way
  • Flexible with regard to multi-cultural business environment
