Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join their consulting team. This Specialist will develop and improve current Health and Safety programs at client companies located in the greater New York City area. This position requires someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Health and Safety Specialist job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage current Health and Safety programs and protocols
- Lead and mentor junior staff members
- Perform H&S audits in the field as needed
- Support loss and near loss assessments
- Implement improvements to current H&S programs

Job Requirements
Requirements:
As a Senior Health and Safety Specialist job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Public Health, or other science related field
- 8+ years of experience in a H&S program management role in a manufacturing, construction, or consulting environment
- Maybe consider less than 8 years for those with a GSP, CSP, CIH, or ASP
- Strong background writing permits applications and permit renewals
