Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist with experience verifying timesheets, processing payroll, and managing direct deposits. In this role, you'll be responsible for checking bank transactions, resolving payroll issues, and processing bonuses. You will also generate and distribute reports, manage FMLA hours, handle reporting, and update profiles and policies in UKG Ready. Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Verify salaried employees' timesheets at the start of each week to ensure accurate hour reporting for IT.
- Process biweekly payroll for specific salary groups every other Tuesday and Wednesday for respective Thursday and Friday pay dates.
- Upload direct deposit files to the bank during the corresponding payroll weeks.
- Handle requests and payments for wage garnishments.
- Process child support payments for both salary groups.
- Monitor the bank for returns and exceptions and initiate stop payments via the bank.
- Investigate lost or missing checks through bank inquiries.
- Administer year-end bonuses for both salary groups.
- Compile data from operations management and execute quarterly operational bonuses.
- Compile data from corporate and process quarterly sales bonuses.
- Enter salaried new hires for salaried pay group in UKG Pro.
- Generate reports from UKG Ready and Business Intelligence every Thursday morning.
- After payroll processing, calculate FMLA hours and update the usage log.
- Manage multiple tasks in UKG Ready, such as adding managers and removing badge numbers of terminated employees from the employee roster.
- Conduct various profile, policy, and global setup edits in UKG Ready, including creating and modifying groups and updating manager/supervisor assignments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience processing payroll
- Experience working in HRIS and Payroll systems
- UKG (Formerly Ultipro/Kronos) experience
- Associates Degree or 5 years’ experience processing payroll
- MS office with an intermediate level of excel experience
